The Best Way to store & Dry large quantities of Firewood.

When burning wood - the moisture content of firewood logs should be no more than 25% for efficient wood burning. This large log store has been designed to allow a natural drying process of freshly sawn or split firewood logs - as quickly as possible.

Depending on the size and type of firewood log s and if it is split or not this process can take anywhere between six and twenty-four months.

Dry firewood logs are a must for any type of wood burning. You should either buy pre-dried timber and keep it dry, or dry your own firewood logs.

One log store holds 1.5 cubic metres of firewood logs, if you are buying pre-dried logs this should be adequate for your needs. However, if you are naturally seasoning larger quantities of your own logs then you can join two or more together side by side.

The key to burning wood is having a high output from the smallest of logs - dry hardwood logs will give you this and in return supply you with cost effective heating.

- The log store is fitted as standard with felt shingles to provide a water tight roof. As an option cedar shingles tiles can be supplied. Cedar shingles have been used for hundreds of years and have proven their durability in all kinds of climates. They can be used to create individual buildings, whether traditional or modern, and their rich, warm colour and texture blend beautifully in any natural environment. The natural effects of aging and weathering give shingles, in time, an attractive silvery grey colour. Our shingle roof kit provides over 15 metres of cedar shingle tiles and stainless steel annular ring shank nails to ensure long life. Approximate fitting time one hour.

The log store is supplied in kit form on a pallet. The assembly instructions are stage by stage and fully comprehensive.
